About Me
I have always had a passion for aviation and adventure –
I grew up flying with my Dad who was an Air Force pilot and flew commercially for Pacific Southwest Airlines. I went to North Carolina State University for my undergraduate degree in Forest Management, and then decided to shift gears and pursue my true passion… FLYING!!!
March 2007, I returned to our small town flying club in Wadesboro, NC to begin flight training. I completed my Private Pilot License just in time to move to Connecticut for a year long adventure. I earned my Instrument Rating while working as a lineman at Hartford/Brainard Airport. Fueling, marshalling, and repositioning the aircraft were a great way to learn about a variety of aircraft and network with aviators of all kinds, especially during the AOPA convention. March 2008, I moved back to NC and earned my Single and Multi-engine Commercial Rating in Siler City. While building hours towards my Commercial, I earned my Tail Wheel Endorsement and did aerial photography for our family Real Estate business. I earned my High Performance Endorsement while completing my Commercial Flight Instructor training in Monroe, NC. When time permitted my Dad and I enjoyed working on our Experimental Light Sport Hornet to make it airworthy. Once it was finished, I could fulfill my childhood dream of flying to our farm and landing in the hay field, just like my Dad had done when I was very young.
Throughout my flight training, I have flown in high density areas such as DC, New York, Charlotte, Jacksonville and other areas along the east coast ranging from New Hampshire to Florida. I take pride in safety and have been recognized for accident free operations. I have an organized approach for flight training and look forward to flying with you!
